windows-7

Adding to a list of convenience, Microsoft has not only introduced enhanced features but has also provided you with comprehensive help system. This help and support feature in Windows 7 not only gives you general and detailed information on how to use Windows but also helps you by providing answers from Microsoft on the particular problems you are facing.

To open Windows Help and Support window, select Start which is followed by Help and Support.

The Windows Help and Support window incorporates three links in the Not Sure Where to Start section:

1. How to get Started with your Computer: It displays the lists to topics that spans from Protecting Your Computer to Installing programs.

2. Learn about Windows Basics: It shows a list of links to basic topics that are divided into six main categories:

Learn about Your Computer

Desktop Fundamentals

Programs, Files, and Folders

Internet, E-mail, and Networking

Pictures and Games

Help and Support

3. Browse help Topics: It shows a Content page with links to topics that spans from Getting Started to Hardware, Devices, and Drivers.

In addition to it, the Windows Help and Support window incorporates a Search Help text box that can be used by you to search for specific topics.

Not limited to it, Windows 7 also allows you to personalize your computer by choosing a new desktop background image, a color scheme for the various Windows elements, a screen saver to use and also to customize sounds effect.

If you want to open the Personalization window, simply right click anywhere on the desktop and select Personalize which appears at the bottom of the shortcut menu.

In another development, The computer users are always in search of some additional features that would lead to an increased performance. The new Windows 7 has introduced an exciting new touch feature, called Windows Touch, which provides a simple and easy access to files and programs. The new touch feature plays a better role when it comes to pointing and touching. Now, instead of pointing on any location or clicking on them, you have an option of controlling your system with fingers.

Now, you can control what happens on your screen just by using your finger. You can scroll through web pages along with opening programs and launching applications with this simple-to-use technology.

Also, you can sort and resize photos in a more natural way. For all this, you should have the new Windows 7 operating system and a touch enabled monitor. For instance, any program which is compatible with the Windows operating system will now respond to your touch.

As icons in the new Windows 7 are bigger, they can be easily accessed as compared to the previous versions of the Windows operating system. The Start menu, Windows Explorer, and the Windows Taskbar icons are big enough, to be selected by your finger. Users can use their fingers or any pointing device for arranging the pictures in a folder, or launching the Windows Media player application to play songs.

A drastic improvement in the touch technology is the use of the more than one finger for controlling the activities carried out on the screen.

For example, if you want to zoom in an image, you can do so by just moving your two fingers apart and for zooming out the image, the reverse procedure of moving your fingers closer together can be adopted.

If you want to rotate an image on the desktop screen, just rotate one finger around the another finger.
